Geocaching?

This summer you might be thinking about the amazing science you learned back in class with models and maps. Okay, probably not, but I thought I’d try and help you make a fun connection with that science. It’s coming a bit late, but not too late to further our learning and to give you something fun to do during the sun filled days to come. Why not get out and do some Geocaching with the family. It’s a great way to learn more about the community around you. Furthermore, you get a chance to practice basic orientation. All you need is a GPS device. Here’s a video that summarizes the history of Geocaching.

To understand more details about how this game is played, check out the video below.

I hope this is something you can do with your families to make your summer a bit more memorable. Since school has been out, my kids and I have done a few. Each time it’s a brand new adventure.

Stay tuned as I’m planning to set-up the new cache near our school that our class named “Bagee.”
